Amburana acreana (Amburana acreana) is a tropical tree from Amazone. It is mainly grown for its timber crops (long shelflife), The crop is harvested by total removing. It starts flowering after 11 - 14 years. The tree`s wood is called Amburana acreana and has a density of 0 - 0 kg/m³. After 90 years the tree can be totally removed as it reached its commercial and ecological goal. Amburana acreana has a lifespan of 250 years.
The tree is 35 meters tall. It is medium growing and tolerates not less light than partial shade. Amburana acreana has a shallow root-system and forms symbiotic relations (endo-mycorrhiza). It is able to fix nitrogen with Microbacteriaceae bacteria.
Amburana acreana thrives in an altitude of 25 to 800 meters above sea-level (tropical). The minimum temperature is 6°C and optimally between 23 - 30°C. The optimal rainfall is 3200 mm/year. Without irrigation the annual rainfall should be between 1200 - 4000 mm (L/m²). The optimal soil-pH is between 5.0 - 7.0 in a soil texture of loam.
