Acacia koa (Koa tree) is a tropical tree from Polonesia. It is mainly grown for its timber crops (n/a shelflife), but also
can be produced. The crop is harvested by total removing. It starts flowering after 4 - 6 years. . Medical uses include; The contains ( - ). The tree`s wood is called koa wood and has a density of 400 - 650 kg/m³. After 25 years the tree can be totally removed as it reached its commercial and ecological goal. Acacia koa has a lifespan of 40 years.The tree is 25 meters tall. It is medium growing and tolerates not less light than full sun. Acacia koa has a deep root-system and forms symbiotic relations
(endo-mycorrhiza high). It is able to fix nitrogen with Brucellaceae bacteria. The tree`s flower-morphology is hermaphroditic and is pollinated by .Acacia koa thrives in an altitude of 180 to 6000 meters above sea-level (tropical). The minimum temperature is 3°C and optimally between 17 - 25°C. The optimal rainfall is 4450 mm/year. Without irrigation the annual rainfall should be between 1900 - 5100 mm (L/m²). The optimal soil-pH is between 4.0 - 6.0 in a soil texture of loam.
